Submission requirements and process
Check the license
Read the license accompanying the specific material. It identifies permitted use and any conditions on attribution, adaptation or distribution.
Describe your request
Identify the work, edition, pages or figures, intended use, audience, format and distribution. Include whether the use is commercial.
Third-party material
The Committee cannot grant rights it does not hold. Material credited to another rights holder requires that holder's permission where applicable.
Attribution
Preserve the requested credit and distinguish quotations from adaptations. Do not imply endorsement of your publication or service.
Approval
A request is not permission until the scope and conditions are confirmed. Retain the written authorization with the reused material.
Changes
A different use or wider distribution may require a new request. A prior permission applies only to its stated scope.
