Appeals
Submission requirements and process
Eligible decisions
Appeals apply where the relevant procedure provides a right to challenge a decision. General disagreement with a published opinion is not automatically an appeal.
Applicant and timing
The person or organization affected by the decision may appeal within the period stated in the decision notice. Identify the decision and any reason a late request requires consideration.
Grounds
Explain the alleged error, relevant procedural issue or information that materially affects the decision. State the outcome requested.
Costs
Any applicable appeal fee and its conditions must be disclosed before acceptance. Paying a fee does not determine the outcome.
Review
The appeal is considered by people who were not responsible for the decision under challenge and whose relevant interests have been addressed.
Status during review
An appeal does not automatically suspend or reverse the original decision. Any interim arrangement is confirmed explicitly.
Outcome
The response states the disposition, grounds and available further route. Material changes are reflected in the affected institutional record.
Submit
Select Submit appeal with the decision reference and supporting information. Acknowledgment confirms receipt, not acceptance of the grounds.
Procedure
The decision notice and applicable activity procedure define eligibility and timing. Contact the Secretariat for procedural clarification.
