Editorial & Corrections Policy
Content types
Research, guidance, news, opinion and sponsored material have distinct purposes. Their labels help readers understand the status of the content.
Sources
Claims should have an appropriate basis. Primary findings, quotations and subsequent interpretation are distinguished and attributed.
Authorship and review
Credit reflects actual work. Technical review and approval are described accurately; an unreviewed draft is not presented as reviewed.
Rights
Publication requires the necessary rights for text, data, images and quotations. Contributors identify third-party permissions.
Sponsored content
Sponsorship and relevant interests are disclosed. Payment does not purchase technical findings or undisclosed editorial influence.
Corrections
Material factual or technical errors receive an identifiable correction. Revision and withdrawal preserve the explanation needed to understand the record.
Reader feedback
Request a correction with the work, edition and supporting information. Technical disagreement is considered on its merits.
