Test Evidence Assessment
Version 1.0 · Tool & checklist
Review report identity, method, scope, results and the limits of a conformity conclusion.
Set the review scope
State the product decision before assessing the report. A development comparison, regulatory submission and incoming acceptance can require different evidence. Use this tool alongside the actual test method and program conditions.

Read the complete report
Review annexes, qualifications and sample descriptions with the results. A cover-page pass statement is insufficient where the tested configuration or method differs from the requirement. Record any limitation in the final decision.
Resolve differences
Seek clarification from the appropriate issuing organization or technical authority. Additional testing should answer a defined question. Do not commission a repeat test merely to replace an inconvenient result without addressing its cause.
Authorize the conclusion
Record the configuration, population and conditions covered. Keep the reviewed report with the decision. Read Reviewing Test Reports and Certification Evidence.
